much as possible in consultation with other
departments within and outside the Gerard Tuning

In addition, the professor to be appointed is

the management of the teaching institute (also
as chairman), in the research institute,
and within the faculty of Arts. He or she must

more Romance languages.

experience as an instructor within the academic
environment. He or she is able to stimulate and
renew the teaching in the Italian Language and
Culture Department, as well as set up and

He or she has demonstrable abilities in acquiring
external funding for education and research.

In addition, he or she also has demonstrable
management capacities and is a good team
leader with motivating and uniting abilities
and strong social skills.

In the event that the professor to be appointed
is not Dutch-speaking, he or she will be
expected to have acquired a good command of the
Dutch language within a period of two years.
