CONFERENCE The Novelness of Bakhtin - Perspectives and Possibilities Department of Comparative Literature, The University of Copenhagen, Denmark. 27-28 April, 1998. The main subject of the conference will be - as the title indicates - Bakhtin's theory of the novel seen in a current perspective. Our hope is that the seminar will establish a framework in which both critical and sympathetic perspectives on Bakhtin's theory of the novel can meet in an international discussion. It should be noted that the language for the seminar is English. Participants: Michael Holquist (Yale), Arild Linneberg (Bergen, Norway), Brian Poole (Berlin) Charles Lock (Copenhagen), Derek Littlewood (Birmingham), Marianne Ping Huang (Arhus, Denmark).
