Cari colleghi
il dipartimento di italianistica dell'Universita' del Kent a Canterbury
versa in condizioni gravissime.
formalmente.
Per informazioni piu' dettagliate e per ESPRIMERE LA VOSTRA PREOCCUPAZIONE
E SOLIDARIETA' scrivete al seguente indirizzo:

Katia Pizzi (Lecturer in Italian)

Futurism

My name is Anja Klock. I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Theatre
Arts and Dance at the University of Minnesota, USA. I am currently
finishing my M.A. paper entitled "SPEED dissolving SPACE and TIME:
Technologies of Transgressing and Controlling (Female) Bodies in Early
Futurist Representation", which I would like to expand into my
dissertation. I have just been awarded with a pre-dissertation research
grant which will allow me to spend six weeks in Italy in order to locate
materials and scholars in my dissertation area. Could you forward my
message to any scholars at your institution who might be able to
point out to me archives, special collections and maybe conferences in
the field? I would also appreciate any information on courses and
scholars who focus on the Italian (theatre)Avant-garde, Women's Studies,
History of Science (Physics), History of Politics in the early 20th
century. In order to ground the planning of my research trip in the
theoretical and practical landscape of Italy, I feel the need to
establish early contacts with the Italian academics in my field.
Please feel free to write to me in Italian.
Sincerely,
Anja I. Klock.
